Frequently Asked Questions
Our goal is simple: to serve our community with humility, compassion, and excellence. Through these acts of service, we hope to reflect the love of Jesus, build meaningful relationships, and point others to the heart of Christ.

At each Serve project, a Grace project leader welcomes volunteers, provides instructions, and guides the team through the service opportunity. Whether you're serving for the first time or have participated before, you will receive the support and direction you need to make a meaningful impact.
-
When: Most Serve projects take place on weekends or during weekday evenings. Whenever possible, we avoid scheduling projects during normal business hours so that as many people as possible can participate. Most Serve projects are offered once a month and are centered around 3rd Saturday Serve, which takes place on the third Saturday of each month. While many of our community partners plan around this consistent schedule, additional serve opportunities are offered throughout the month as needs arise.
Where: Serve projects happen throughout our local community, with most opportunities located across the Triangle region, including Chapel Hill, Durham, Raleigh, Cary, and Hillsborough.

3rd Saturday Serve takes place on the third Saturday of every month. Many of our Serve projects are intentionally scheduled on this day to provide consistency for our community partners. By serving on the same weekend each month, our partners know they can count on Grace to show up and support them.
If your Serve opportunity is scheduled on a different day, that's wonderful! We encourage serving whenever and wherever the need exists, and we're excited to support projects throughout the month.

Traditionally held on a Saturday in March, Serve Day is Grace's largest annual day of community outreach. On this special day, hundreds of volunteers spread throughout our community to serve together on more than 50 different projects.
Serve Day is a powerful expression of our mission of Reaching People, Building Lives. As the church comes together to meet practical needs, encourage our community, and demonstrate the love of Christ through service, the impact reaches far beyond a single day. It's inspiring to see people of all ages serving side by side, building relationships, and making a lasting difference in the lives of others.
Serve Day is an incredible opportunity to come together, support our neighbors, and be the hands and feet of Jesus in our community.
