Meet Your Campus Pastor
John Mark Hamilton was born and raised in North Carolina. He joined the staff in January of 2020 as an Assistant Pastor where he oversaw the First Impressions Team, Connections, Local Outreach/Missions, and Young Adults. He has a passion to see people come to know Christ and fulfill their God-given purpose in the world.
Prior to joining the staff at Grace Church, John Mark worked in College Football for 15 seasons. He spent three seasons with the University of North Carolina, and 12 seasons at his alma mater Appalachian State University. John Mark served in a variety of roles during his time in football from on-field coach to on-the-road recruiter, and most recently, as the Director of Player Personnel & High School Relations.

Grace Church is led by local elders, with an oversight team, while listening to the members and attendees. We get wisdom and accountability from outside sources, while getting personal buy-in and the voice of the people from the local elders. The lead pastor is pastored by the oversight team, comprised of leaders who pastor large congregations. Their advice and insight is invaluable to our Pastor’s decision-making process.
